This Refund Policy governs the refund of fees paid for services booked through the Nautical Neighbour website. By using our platform and booking a service, you agree to the terms of this policy.

Definitions

Nautical Neighbour Service Fee: The non-refundable fee charged by Nautical Neighbour for using our platform to book and manage a service. This fee covers our administrative and operational costs.

Contractor Service Fee: The fee charged by the independent service provider for the completion of the marine service.

Refundability of the Nautical Neighbour Service Fee

The Nautical Neighbour Service Fee is non-refundable with the following exceptions:

Service Provider Cancellation: If the independent service provider cancels your booked service and you choose not to rebook with another provider, you will receive a full refund of the Nautical Neighbour Service Fee.

Company Cancellation: If Nautical Neighbour is unable to find a suitable service provider to fulfill your booking request, you will receive a full refund of the Nautical Neighbour Service Fee.

Refunds for the Contractor Service Fee

All services are performed by independent contractors, and Nautical Neighbour acts solely as a booking platform. Therefore, any refunds related to the quality of the work performed, dissatisfaction with the service, or disputes regarding the Contractor Service Fee are at the sole discretion of the independent service provider.

Disputes: In the event of a dispute, you must first attempt to resolve the issue directly with the service provider. Nautical Neighbour can facilitate communication and provide assistance in reaching a resolution, but we are not responsible for providing a refund or for the cost of rework or repairs.

Contractor-Issued Refunds: Any refund of the Contractor Service Fee must be processed directly by the independent service provider, in accordance with their own policies.

Cancellation and Refund Process

Cancellation by Customer: Bookings can be canceled by the customer up to 48 hours before the scheduled service time. In such a case, the Nautical Neighbour Service Fee is non-refundable.

Cancellation by Service Provider: If a service provider cancels your booking, you will be notified promptly. You may choose to rebook with a different provider, or you may request a refund of the Nautical Neighbour Service Fee.

Refund Request: To request a refund, please contact us by email at bookings@nautical neighbour.ca. All refund requests will be reviewed and processed within 14 business days.

Limitation of Liability

Nautical Neighbour disclaims all responsibility and liability for the quality of the services provided by independent contractors. We do not provide warranties or guarantees for the work performed, and any claims or damages must be pursued with the responsible contractor.
